Tiruvarur: The Information and Public Relations Department of Tiruvarur District has announced an auction of its departmental Mahindra Bolero Jeep bearing registration number TN 21 G 0790 . The vehicle, a 2012-model Mahindra Bolero , will be auctioned on August 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM .

Police to Auction Seized Vehicles in Tiruvallur on March 17; Bidders Must Pay Deposit to Participate

The Tiruvallur District Police has announced a public auction of vehicles seized in narcotics-related cases. A total of five vehicles confiscated during enforcement actions by the Prohibition Enforcement Wing and local police stations will be auctioned later this month.
According to an official press release issued by the Tiruvallur District Police, the vehicles were seized in cases related to the illegal possession and transportation of ganja. The auction will be conducted in accordance with Government Order (Standing) No. 66 issued by the Prohibition and Excise Department on July 4, 2025, and subsequent orders from the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kanchipuram Range.
The auction is scheduled to take place on March 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM near the Elavur Check Post , which operates under the Gummidipoondi Prohibition Enforcement Wing in Tiruvallur district.
Officials said that five seized vehicles will be offered in the auction. These include:

The Greater Chennai Police will conduct an open auction of 280 condemned vehicles , including 76 four-wheelers and 204 two-wheelers , at Rajarathinam Stadium, Egmore , later this month. The auction is scheduled to be held on January 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. , according to an official notification issued by the city police.
The vehicles, which were earlier used by various units of the Greater Chennai Police, have been declared unfit for further service and are being disposed of as per government norms. The auction is expected to attract traders, scrap dealers and members of the public holding valid GST registration.
Interested bidders must register in advance on January 24, 2026 , between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. , at the same venue. Applicants are required to produce Aadhaar identification , a GST registration certificate , and pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1,000 .
Police officials said the auction would be conducted in a transparent manner in the presence of a bidding committee and registered participants.
As per the auction conditions, successful bidders will have to remit 25% of the bid amount on the day of the auction itself . The remaining 75% of the amount along with applicable GST must be paid on the following day, after which sales orders will be issued.

PUDUKKOTTAI: The Pudukottai district police will auction 88 seized vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, at the Tamil Nadu Police Armed Force Ground on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 .
According to officials, the vehicles were confiscated over various cases and remained unclaimed for an extended period. The lot consists predominantly of two-wheelers, along with a few four-wheelers, now cleared for public auction as per legal procedures.
Interested buyers can participate in the auction by visiting the Armed Force Ground on the scheduled date. Police said the auction will be conducted transparently, and bidders are expected to comply with the prescribed terms and conditions.

A total of 72 vehicles impounded by the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau (NIB) across Tamil Nadu will go under the auction. The seized fleet includes:
