Pudukottai Police to Auction 88 Seized Vehicles on December 10

PUDUKKOTTAI: The Pudukottai district police will auction 88 seized vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, at the Tamil Nadu Police Armed Force Ground on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

According to officials, the vehicles were confiscated over various cases and remained unclaimed for an extended period. The lot consists predominantly of two-wheelers, along with a few four-wheelers, now cleared for public auction as per legal procedures.

Interested buyers can participate in the auction by visiting the Armed Force Ground on the scheduled date. Police said the auction will be conducted transparently, and bidders are expected to comply with the prescribed terms and conditions.

Officials added that the proceeds will be deposited into the government treasury after completing mandatory formalities.




Tamil Nadu to Auction 72 Vehicles Seized in Drug-Trafficking Cases on Dec 22 & 23

Chennai:
The Tamil Nadu Police will conduct a state-wide public auction of vehicles seized in various drug-trafficking cases on December 22 and 23, according to an official press release.

A total of 72 vehicles impounded by the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau (NIB) across Tamil Nadu will go under the auction. The seized fleet includes:

  • 30 two-wheelers

  • 2 three-wheelers

  • 30 four-wheelers

  • 4 lorries

  • 6 boats

Of these, 48 vehicles will be auctioned in Madurai on December 22, while the remaining 24 vehicles will be auctioned in Tiruchirappalli on December 23, both scheduled for 11 AM.

Vehicle Inspection Window

Prospective bidders can inspect the vehicles between December 7 and December 21 at designated NIB offices located in:

Tiruchirappalli, Kanyakumari, Theni, Dindigul, Sivaganga, Madurai, Nagapattinam, Coimbatore, Salem, and Villupuram.

The auction is part of the state’s efforts to dispose of seized assets in drug-related cases as per legal procedure.

  • After this, the vehicle sale order will be issued.

  • Participants must submit a copy of their Aadhaar card before the auction.

The District Police Departments of Vellore, Ranipet, and Tiruvannamalai have announced a public auction of seized vehicles under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

The auction is scheduled to take place on October 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Armed Reserve (AR) Parade Ground in each respective district.

  • Venue: Armed Reserve (AR) Parade Ground – Vellore, Ranipet & Tiruvannamalai

  • Total Vehicles: 60

    • Two-wheelers: 52

    • Autorickshaw: 1

    • (Others may include few four-wheelers seized under NDPS cases)

Participation Terms

  • Advance Deposit:

    • ₹5,000 for two-wheelers

    • ₹10,000 for four-wheelers

  • Payment Window: 8 a.m. to 12 noon on the auction day at the venue

  • Eligibility: Only individuals who pay the advance deposit will be permitted to participate.

Background

The listed vehicles were confiscated during enforcement drives by the law and order and crime units across the three districts. These vehicles were booked under the NDPS Act, 1985, and are now being auctioned publicly as per legal procedure.




The Tamil Nadu Police have announced a public auction of 25 scrap vehicles, comprising 14 cars and 11 two-wheelers, previously used by the State Crime Records Bureau and the Coast Guard Police Department. The auction will take place on October 29 at 12 noon at the Director of Police’s Office in Mylapore, Chennai.

Interested bidders are required to register in advance by paying a ₹1,000 deposit between October 22 and 24 (until 5 PM). Upon successful registration, participants will receive a token from the Police Office Motor Vehicle Wing, granting them permission to participate in the auction.

Authorities have advised bidders to complete the registration within the given timeline to avoid any last-minute issues.
