Police to Auction 202 Seized Vehicles in Tenkasi on March 23; Mostly Two-Wheelers


Tenkasi: The Tamil Nadu Police in Tenkasi district has announced a public auction of unclaimed vehicles seized in various criminal cases under the jurisdiction of the Puliyangudi Utkotta Police Station.

According to police officials, a total of 202 vehicles, including 197 two-wheelers, will be auctioned on March 23, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the premises of Sokkampatti Police Station.

Authorities said interested bidders will be allowed to inspect the vehicles between March 18 and March 21, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the same location.

To participate in the auction, bidders must register in advance by paying ₹3,000 and submitting their Aadhaar card with name and address details to obtain a participation token. Only individuals with a valid token will be allowed to take part in the bidding process.

Police officials added that successful bidders must immediately pay the final bid amount along with 18% GST on the same day and take delivery of the vehicle.

Tenkasi Police to Auction 133 Unclaimed Vehicles on December 18

The Tenkasi District Police has announced a public auction of 133 unclaimed motor vehicles under the Alangulam sub-division. The auction will be held on December 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Pavoorchatram Vennimalai Murugan Temple complex.

Officials said that interested buyers will be allowed to inspect all vehicles parked at the venue from December 15 to 17, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Only those who complete the registration process will receive a token and be permitted to participate in the auction.

To register, participants must provide their name, address, Aadhaar card, and pay a refundable deposit of ₹3,000. The police clarified that tokens will be issued only after verification of documents and payment.

Successful bidders will be required to pay the full bid amount along with GST on the same day and immediately take possession of the vehicle.

Tenkasi District Police to Auction 97 Unclaimed Vehicles on November 20

Tenkasi: The Tenkasi District Police have announced a public auction of 97 unclaimed vehicles currently held within the limits of various police stations in the district. The auction is scheduled to take place on November 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Tenkasi I.C.I. Government Boys Higher Secondary School campus.

According to the official press release, the vehicles include 93 two-wheelers, 2 three-wheelers, and 2 four-wheelers, all of which have remained unclaimed for an extended period.

Those interested in participating in the auction can inspect the vehicles at the school campus from November 17 to November 19, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on all three days.

Participants must register in advance by providing their name, address, and Aadhaar card, along with a deposit of ₹3,000, to obtain a participation token. Only individuals who have received a valid token will be permitted to take part in the bidding.

Successful bidders are required to pay the auction amount along with applicable GST in cash immediately after the conclusion of the bidding process and take delivery of the vehicle on the same day.
