The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has rolled out its ambitious Naimish Nagar Housing Scheme along Sitapur Road, marking a significant step toward meeting the capital city’s growing housing needs and supporting planned urban development.
Planned as a model township, Naimish Nagar will come up in Bakshi Ka Talab tehsil of Lucknow. Spread across thousands of acres, the scheme is designed to integrate residential units, commercial hubs, and essential public services. Apart from addressing housing demand, the project aims to strengthen local infrastructure and boost employment opportunities in allied sectors.
The groundwork began in August 2025, with the construction of the first site office on August 12–13. This marks the official beginning of the large-scale development, which has been in planning for several years.
Strategic Location: The township is located on Sitapur Road (NH-24), with easy access to NH-30, NH-27, and the Lucknow-Agra Expressway.
Scale of Development: Reports suggest the project will cover around 1,084 to 2,500+ acres, touching land from 14–18 villages.
Investment: Land acquisition alone is valued at ₹4,785 crore, with the combined budget for Naimish Nagar and Varun Vihar pegged at around ₹12,257 crore.
Facilities Planned: Residential plots and flats, commercial centers, parks, schools, hospitals, and modern waste management systems.
Land Acquisition: LDA is acquiring land directly from farmers on a consensual basis. Villages included in the project area will see parallel development of roads, drainage, and civic amenities.
