The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched a new housing opportunity under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) at Basant Kunj Yojana, Sector-N, offering 200 ready-to-move EWS flats through an online lottery system. The registration process began on February 5, 2026, and will remain open until February 19, 2026.
The scheme aims to provide affordable housing to economically weaker families residing in Lucknow’s urban areas.
The housing units are located in Basant Kunj Sector-N, comprising four pockets — A, B, C, and D. All flats are constructed and ready for possession.

Applicants must pay a ₹5,000 registration fee, which will be adjusted in the final amount if allotted or refunded if unsuccessful.
After allotment:
25% amount must be deposited within the stipulated time (as per allotment letter).
Remaining 75% can be paid in 84 monthly instalments.
Late payments may attract 9% simple interest.
In case of surrender after allotment, 20% deduction plus GST may apply.
All successful applicants must undergo biometric verification before issuance of the allotment letter.
To apply under the PMAY Urban scheme:
Must be an Indian citizen.
Must be a resident of Lucknow urban area.
Minimum age: 18 years.
Annual family income (EWS category): Less than ₹3 lakh.
No family member (husband, wife, unmarried children) should own a pucca house anywhere in India.
Application must be made in the name of a female head of family or jointly. If no adult female member exists, a male member may apply.
Applicants from outside Lucknow or other states are not eligible for this scheme.

Allotment & Waiting List
Allotment will be conducted via manual lottery.
LDA will prepare a 10% waiting list (around 220 names for 200 flats).

Lock-in period of 5 years for sale.
Electricity connection must be obtained separately by the allottee.
Floor change after allotment is not permitted.

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has announced a fresh opportunity for applicants under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) by reopening registrations for vacant flats in two major housing schemes—Basant Kunj Scheme (Sector-I) and Sharda Nagar Extension Scheme.
This move comes after a significant number of flats remained unallotted following the earlier lottery process.
Under the PMAY framework, LDA had earlier invited applications for 3,792 flats in Basant Kunj Sector-I. Registration was open until 30 September 2023, and a lottery was conducted among 7,771 eligible applicants.
Successful applicants: 959
Unsuccessful applicants: 6,728
After the lottery, 776 flats remained vacant. LDA has now decided to reopen registration exclusively for the 6,728 unsuccessful applicants.

A total of 9,238 applications were received.
After scrutiny, 7,784 applicants were found eligible for the draw.
These flats are constructed under the Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) vertical of the PMAY-Urban mission, targeting economically weaker sections (EWS) and low-income groups (LIG).
