Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Auction Announcement
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will conduct an e-auction on October 13, featuring four major shopping complexes — including the disputed Sahara Bazaar — along with 350 residential and commercial properties across the city. Registrations are open until October 10.
The Sahara Bazaar property dispute arose after the expiry of a 30-year lease on a 4,375 sq. metre plot in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, originally allotted to Sahara India in 1987. The lease was not renewed, and the LDA sealed the complex in August 2025 after taking possession in June.
Traders have raised objections, claiming lack of notice and ongoing legal rights. The matter, valued at nearly ₹100 crore, is currently pending in the High Court.
In addition to Sahara Bazaar, the following complexes will also be auctioned:
Ratankhand Shopping Complex – 6,729 sq. metres
Mansarovar Sector O Complex – 1,586 sq. metres
Nehru Enclave Complex – 4,992 sq. metres
LDA officials assured that genuine shopkeepers’ concerns will be addressed while highlighting that the auction offers buyers prime property opportunities in Lucknow.
