Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to roll out a major housing project in Para, offering 2,496 affordable flats for lower and middle-income families.
The township, under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scheme (earlier named Prasun Vihar), will feature 1BHK and 2BHK units. Prices start from ₹9.5 lakh and go up to ₹20.39 lakh, making it one of the most economical housing options in the city.
According to LDA Vice-Chairman Pramathesh Kumar, the scheme is likely to be launched around the upcoming festive season after completion of formal documentation. The allotment process will be carried out through a lottery system, details of which will be announced shortly.
Kumar emphasized that the project has been designed to provide affordable housing without compromising on quality, ensuring that even people from economically weaker sections can fulfill their dream of owning a home.
Meanwhile, the LDA has also decided to name the 72 EWS flats in Dalibagh area after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. These flats are expected to be opened for public allotment before Diwali, LDA officials confirmed.

Booking Begins from Navratri for 2,996 Affordable Flats in Atal Bihari Bajpai Nagar
The LDA has renamed the Prasoon Nagar project in Devpur Para to Atal Bihari Bajpai Nagar. Bookings for the total 2,996 flats in this scheme will begin from Navratri. Vice-Chairman Pratmesh Kumar stated that the project is designed to provide affordable housing for the general public.
