The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is taking decisive motion against property tax defaulters by way of initiating an auction for 32 homes on February 5. The cumulative fee of these homes, primarily commercial buildings, stands at Rs 16.02 crore. The targeted regions for auction encompass the upscale localities of Lohegaon, Mundhwa, Baner, and Balewadi.

Bidding Process and Eligibility Criteria

Each property has a predetermined valuation, and the bidding amount can not be lower than this constant valuation. Bidders must pay 1% of the property amount in advance by January 31 to participate.

Key Dates for Bidders and Property Owners

Eligible bidders can be announced on February 4. The winning bidder is obligated to pay 20% of the bid amount within two days of the auction and the remaining eighty% inside 15 days. If the assets owner clears the dues and auction charges inside 15 days, the triumphing bidder can be reimbursed the amount to start with deposited with PMC.
