The District and Sessions Court, Gopalganj, has announced the auction of 25 seized vehicles in connection with various criminal cases registered across the district. The auction will be conducted on February 23, 2026, as per orders issued by the competent court.
OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION
According to the official notice issued by the Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Gopalganj, the vehicles have been seized in different police station cases and are currently lying in police custody. As many of these vehicles have remained unused for a long time, the court has ordered their disposal through public auction in accordance with legal provisions.
The list includes motorcycles and other vehicles seized in cases registered at different police stations such as Gopalganj Town, Manjha, Kuchaikote, Baikunthpur, Barauli and other areas of the district. Each vehicle is linked to a specific case number and police station.
Interested bidders have been advised to inspect the vehicles at the respective police stations before participating in the auction. The auction process will be carried out following prescribed rules and procedures, and bidders will be required to complete all formalities as directed by the court.
The notice further states that the successful bidders will have to comply with all legal requirements related to transfer of ownership and documentation. The court has clarified that the vehicles will be auctioned on an “as is where is” basis and no claims will be entertained later regarding the condition of the vehicles.
The auction is expected to attract local buyers looking for vehicles at comparatively lower prices. District officials have urged interested participants to ensure that they carry valid identity documents and complete the necessary formalities on the day of the auction.
The notice has been issued under the authority of the District and Sessions Judge, Gopalganj, for the district year 2025–26.
