PUDA Extends Property Auction Deadline to October 15, Offers 15% Discount on Full Payment

The Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) has extended the deadline for its ongoing property e-auction, allowing interested buyers to bid until October 15. The auction, which was earlier set to close on October 6, includes residential, commercial, institutional, and group housing sites across major cities such as Mohali, New Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Patiala, and Bathinda.

In a bid to attract more participation during the festive season, PUDA is offering a 15% rebate on lump-sum payments made within 120 days of allotment. Successful bidders are required to pay only 10% of the bid amount upfront, along with applicable taxes, while the remaining amount can be cleared later.

Officials said that the authority has tied up with three leading banks to simplify loan availability for buyers. This year, a special focus has been placed on properties in New Chandigarh, with the government assuring that the entire bidding process is online and transparent.

PUDA teams had earlier conducted a market survey to identify suitable sites for auction, ensuring that demand-driven plots are included. Authorities have also reiterated that the system is designed to be fraud-free, enabling citizens to participate with confidence.

Interested participants can register and complete the process on the official PUDA auction portal before the new deadline.
