Patna Excise police vehicles Auction

The Patna Collectorate (Prohibition & Excise Branch) has announced a public auction of 17 confiscated vehicles under the provisions of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. The auction will be held on February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the office of the Assistant Commissioner, Excise, located within the Patna Collectorate premises.

The vehicles were seized in different prohibition-related cases across Patna district and have been officially confiscated after completion of legal proceedings. Authorities stated that earlier auctions were conducted on September 26, 2025, and January 21, 2026, but 17 vehicles remained unsold.

In the third round of auction, the minimum reserve price has been reduced by 10% + 10% from the earlier fixed valuation to encourage participation.

Last Date to Apply: February 25, 2026

Interested bidders must deposit the required earnest money (20% of the reserve price) in the form of a bank draft by February 25, 2026, during office hours.

The demand draft must be issued in favor of Assistant Commissioner Excise, Patna, payable at SBI Main Branch, Patna.

  • Piaggio Tempo (BR01GK-0899) – ₹69,000

Officials confirmed that vehicles will be auctioned on an “as is, where is” basis, and bidders are advised to inspect them at the respective police stations before participating.

Key Auction Conditions

  • Open public bidding will be conducted.

  • Successful bidders must deposit the full bid amount within four days of the auction date.

  • All taxes, registration formalities, and documentation expenses will be borne by the buyer.

  • The department reserves the right to cancel or postpone the auction without assigning any reason.

  • If any vehicle is released by court order before the auction date, its sale will stand cancelled.

Participants must submit a copy of Aadhaar card or Voter ID along with the application form.
