Moradabad: After a gap of nearly 25 years, the Moradabad Development Authority (MDA) is set to launch a new residential township in the city. The long-awaited project, named Govindpuram Township Housing Scheme, has received UP RERA approval, marking a significant development for Moradabad and nearby districts.

The scheme is expected to attract both end-users and investors from surrounding cities such as Rampur, Amroha, Sambhal, Chandausi, and Kashipur, all of which fall within a 40–50 km radius of Moradabad.

The project is officially titled Govindpuram Housing Scheme – Phase 1 and will be developed and operated by the Moradabad Development Authority.

Moradabad: The Moradabad Development Authority (MDA) is set to take a major step toward expanding planned urban housing with the upcoming launch of Phase-1 plot registration for the Govindpuram Township, a long-awaited residential project in the city.

According to available updates, the RERA approval for Phase-1 has already been granted, clearing the way for the registration process to begin shortly. This marks significant progress for the township, which is moving toward development after nearly 22 years.

Strategic Location

Govindpuram Township is being developed in the corridor between Delhi Road and National Highway-9, making it strategically located with strong connectivity. The project is coming up on approximately 110 acres of land acquired from Manoharpur Mangupura village.

Phase-1 Details

In the first phase, MDA plans to develop:

  • Around 470 residential plots

  • 15 mixed land-use plots

  • 32 commercial (business) plots

The residential plots will be available in multiple sizes, including:

  • 112.50 sq m

  • 162 sq m

  • 200 sq m

  • 288 sq m

After the completion of plotting and infrastructure development in Phase-1, the township is expected to provide housing opportunities for approximately 1,800 families.
