CBN Kota Announces Auction of 16 Seized Vehicles; Brezza, Scorpio, Isuzu, Hyundai i20 and Tata 407

Kota: The Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Kota, Rajasthan, has announced two separate e-auctions of seized vehicles through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, offering a total of 16 vehicles for sale and scrapping. The auctions include passenger cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles seized under various cases and currently stationed at CBN premises in Chittorgarh and Pratapgarh.

The vehicles will be offered under two categories — auction for useable vehicles and auction for scrapping purposes. The reserve prices range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5 lakh, making it one of the notable government vehicle disposal exercises in Rajasthan this year.

Seven Vehicles Offered Through Regular Auction

CBN has listed seven vehicles for public auction on an "As Is Where Is, What Is" basis. These vehicles can be purchased by eligible bidders subject to compliance with auction terms and vehicle registration formalities.

The Maruti Brezza has the highest reserve price in this category at Rs 5 lakh, followed by the Hyundai i20 at Rs 3.5 lakh and Tata 407 at Rs 2.5 lakh.

Nine Vehicles Listed for Scrapping Auction

Apart from the regular vehicle sale, CBN has also invited bids from Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) for the disposal of nine seized vehicles intended exclusively for scrapping.

In the scrapping category, the Mahindra Scorpio carries the highest reserve price of Rs 2.5 lakh, followed by an Isuzu vehicle at Rs 2.1 lakh.

Eligibility Conditions for Bidders

For the regular vehicle auction, bidders must upload:

  • PAN Card
  • GST Registration Certificate (where applicable)
  • Signed acceptance of auction terms

For the scrapping auction, bidders must additionally possess a valid:

  • Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) Licence
  • Authorization under the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021

Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)

Participants must submit EMD through a Demand Draft in favour of DDO, CBN Kota.

EMD Structure

  • Rs 10,000 for heavy vehicles
  • Rs 5,000 for light motor vehicles
  • Rs 1,000 for two-wheelers

The EMD of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after completion of the auction process.

Inspection and Delivery Schedule

Interested buyers can inspect the vehicles during working days between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the designated CBN locations.

Successful bidders will be required to:

  • Pay the full bid amount within 10 days of auction confirmation.
  • Lift the vehicles within 30 working days.
  • Complete ownership transfer and registration formalities at their own cost.

For scrapping lots, applicable GST and regulatory requirements must also be fulfilled.
