The Jharkhand Forest Department has announced a public auction for 69 confiscated vehicles under the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, Jharkhand in Koderma district. The auction will be conducted by the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Koderma Forest Division, inviting sealed tenders from interested individuals and firms.
According to the official notification, the vehicles will be sold on an “as is where is” basis, meaning buyers will have to purchase the vehicles in their current condition and arrange transportation at their own expense.
The department stated that sealed bids must be submitted by 2:00 PM on March 24, 2026, at the Divisional Forest Office in Koderma. The tender envelopes will be opened the same day at 2:30 PM in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
Authorities also clarified that if any person has legal objections or claims regarding any of the listed vehicles, they must submit supporting documents to the Koderma Forest Division Office by 5:00 PM on March 22, 2026. If no claims are received by that deadline, the department will proceed with the auction.
Auction NOTICE
A total of 69 vehicles seized in different forest-related cases will be auctioned. The list includes:
Trucks such as **Tata 709, Tata 407, and Shaktiman trucks
Pickup vehicles like Mahindra Bolero Pickup
Utility vehicles including Mahindra Commander Jeep
Construction equipment like JCB Excavator machines
Tractors such as Mahindra 475 DI Tractor
Two-wheelers including **Hero Splendor Plus, Hero HF Deluxe, and Bajaj CT 100 motorcycles
Many vehicles do not have registration numbers, while some carry registrations from states like Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Delhi, and Haryana.
Interested bidders can inspect the vehicles during office hours at locations where they are currently parked, mainly in the Domchanch Forest Range and nearby forest areas within Koderma district.
To participate in the auction, bidders must meet the following conditions:
GST registration is mandatory for individuals, firms, or establishments.
A gate money deposit of ₹10,000 for vehicles and ₹5,000 for motorcycles must be submitted via bank draft before 2:00 PM on auction day.
Successful bidders must immediately deposit 25% of the bid amount on the same day.
The remaining amount along with applicable GST and taxes must be paid within 30 days.
The tax liability will be applicable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) as per GST rules.
The department stated that buyers must remove the vehicles from their current locations at their own cost after completing payment formalities. The responsibility for vehicle registration and legal compliance after purchase will rest entirely with the buyer.
