Arwal, Bihar: The Bihar Excise Department has announced a fresh e-auction/public auction of seized vehicles in Arwal district , with 34 vehicles remaining for disposal after earlier auctions conducted in June, July and September 2026.
The auction is being conducted under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016, as amended , for vehicles seized by the Prohibition and Excise Department and various police stations in Arwal district and subsequently confiscated by the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Arwal.
According to the short-term public notice issued by the Superintendent of Excise, Arwal , the remaining vehicles will be auctioned on an “As Is Where Is” basis by the auction committee.
The notice was issued under memo number 1114, dated September 5, 2026 .

The auction committee or competent authority retains the right to remove any vehicle from the auction list .
If a vehicle is withdrawn before the auction, the revised list will be displayed on the office notice board.
The committee also reserves the right to cancel the auction of any individual vehicle or group of vehicles without assigning a reason. The decision of the auction committee will be final.

If the vehicle owner or their advocate receives an order from the High Court or another competent court before the scheduled auction, the information must be submitted to the Law Branch of the Arwal Collectorate or the Superintendent of Excise, Arwal.
After receiving an eligible court order and a request for release of the vehicle as per rules, the auction committee may stop the auction of that vehicle.

The Arwal district administration has announced a public auction of vehicles confiscated under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016 , officials said on Friday.
According to a notice issued by the Prohibition and Excise Department , the vehicles were seized by the department and various police stations in the district for their alleged involvement in illegal liquor transportation and related offences. The vehicles have since been confiscated by the district magistrate-cum-collector, Arwal , and will now be disposed of through open public auction.
The auction will be conducted in phases at the collectorate premises (indoor stadium), Arwal , starting at 10am . The first phase is scheduled for January 9, 2026 , while the second and third phases will be held on February 9 and March 12, 2026 , respectively, to dispose of vehicles that remain unsold.
Officials said the auction will include a wide range of vehicles such as two-wheelers, cars, auto-rickshaws, pickups, mini trucks and heavy vehicles , along with several vehicles classified as scrap. The vehicles are currently stored at different police stations and excise depots across the district.
