Vehicles Seized in Liquor Scandal to be Auctioned by Excise Department and Police Stations
Excise Superintendent Umashankar Prasad announced on Friday at 3 PM that the Excise Department, in coordination with all police stations across the district, will be conducting auctions of vehicles that were seized during various liquor-related cases.
According to the Superintendent, a total of 54 vehicles—including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and other types of automobiles—confiscated under the liquor scandal will be put up for sale through public auction. The auctions have been scheduled to ensure transparency and participation of interested buyers in Sheohar Bihar.
The Excise Department has finalized the following dates and venue for the event:
October 6, 2025 – 10:00 AM
October 8, 2025 – 10:00 AM
October 10, 2025 – 10:00 AM
All auctions will be held at the Collectorate Assembly Hall, where registered bidders will have the opportunity to participate. The department has urged interested individuals to take part in the process, as it provides an open and lawful platform to acquire vehicles at competitive rates.
The Excise Superintendent further emphasized that the move not only aims at disposing of seized vehicles lying unused in police station premises but also contributes to strengthening revenue for the department.
