TNHB Offers 56 MIG Flats in Jafferkhanpet, Chennai Under FCFS Scheme

The Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) has announced the outright sale of 56 flats at Jafferkhanpet, Chennai, under a First Come First Serve (FCFS) model. This sale is part of a broader initiative to make affordable housing accessible to middle-income households within the city.

Project Overview

Located in one of Chennai's well-connected and rapidly growing residential zones, the Jafferkhanpet housing project comprises 120 residential units, of which 56 Middle Income Group (MIG) flats are now available for sale. The project features Stilt + 5 floors constructed over 50 grounds of land.

Each MIG unit offers a plinth area between 990 to 1013 sq. ft., with an undivided land share ranging from 445 to 456 sq. ft.. The pricing has been fixed between ₹80 lakh to ₹82 lakh, depending on unit size and specifications.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a native of Tamil Nadu

  • Be 21 years or older

  • Have not previously purchased any property from TNHB (in their name or that of their spouse/minor children)

  • Have a monthly income between ₹50,001 and ₹70,000 (classified under the MIG category)

Applications from higher income groups will also be considered, provided the property being purchased is not reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

Payment Details

Applicants must pay the following amounts online through Internet Banking, Debit Card, or IMPS while booking:

The remaining 90% of the unit cost must be paid within 90 days of allotment. Payments can be made via the TNHB portal or by e-challan.
