Chennai : The Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) has announced two separate housing opportunities under Notification No. 02/2026 dated September 16, 2026 , offering a combined 770 flats and houses across Chennai, Kancheepuram and Hosur.
Of these, 627 flats are available through an online First Come First Serve (FCFS) system, while another 143 flats and houses will be allotted through an online lottery .
The properties include LIG, MIG and HIG category units , with prices starting from ₹18 lakh and going up to ₹82 lakh , depending on the project, category and unit size.
Eligible applicants can register and apply through the official TNHB websites.

Under the FCFS scheme, TNHB is offering 627 LIG and MIG flats in Ambattur, MKB Nagar, Padikuppam, Sholinganallur, Jafferkhanpet and Villivakkam .
The units will be allotted from a common pool through an online First Come First Serve system. Eligible applicants can select their preferred available unit through the TNHB portal.

Once an applicant selects a particular unit online, 20 minutes will be provided to deposit the initial cost, application fee and registration fee in a single online transaction.

After selecting a unit, the winner will receive 15 minutes to pay the 10% initial cost of the unit in a single online transaction.

The lottery scheme follows reservation provisions under G.O. (Ms) No. 2, Housing and Urban Development Department, dated January 2, 2013 .
