Sitamarhi Vehicle Auction 2026: 133 Seized Cars, Bikes, SUVs and Tempos to Go Under Hammer From June 3

The Sitamarhi District Administration has announced a public auction of confiscated vehicles seized under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016 . The auction will be conducted by the office of the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Sitamarhi , for vehicles used in alleged liquor transportation cases after the implementation of prohibition & Excise Vehicles in Bihar.

According to the official notification issued by the Bihar Excise Department, a total of 133 vehicles , including cars, motorcycles, scooters, SUVs, tempos, auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws , will be auctioned on an “ as-is, where-is ” basis.

• Car (JH10AM-0109) – Reserved price around Rs 1.96 lakh
• Maruti Swift Dzire (DL13C-3218) – Reserved price around Rs 83,835

Scrap Vehicle Lots Also Included

Apart from regular vehicles, the administration has also included scrap vehicles (kabad lots) in the auction. These include damaged cars, tempos, cycles and SUVs grouped into different lots.

The scrap vehicle lots are numbered from Lot 01 to Lot 10 , and bidders will have to submit 50% earnest money deposit (EMD) for participating in scrap category bidding.

Auction Rules And Eligibility

The district administration has issued detailed conditions for participation:

• Bidders must submit a signed declaration form with a self-attested photograph.
• PAN card and Aadhaar card copies are mandatory.
• For regular vehicles, bidders must deposit 25% of the reserved price as advance security.
• For scrap lots, bidders must deposit 50% of the lot value .
• Security deposit must be submitted through Bank Draft/DD in favour of “SUPERINTENDENT OF EXCISE, SITAMARHI” , payable at State Bank of India, Dumra branch .
• Separate DDs are required for separate vehicles or lots.
• Successful bidders must deposit the full bid amount within three working days .
• Failure to pay may result in forfeiture of deposit and blacklisting .

Vehicles To Be Sold On ‘As Is Where Is’ Basis

Officials clarified that all vehicles will be auctioned strictly on an “ where is, as is ” basis. Buyers will have to inspect the vehicles personally before bidding and bear all transportation, registration and transfer expenses themselves.

The administration also warned that some vehicles may not be eligible for fresh registration due to unclear chassis or engine details.

Inspection Of Vehicles

Interested buyers can inspect the vehicles at the respective police stations and excise units on working days before the auction dates.
