Chaksu (Rajasthan): The Chaksu Municipality on Friday conducted an online lottery for the allotment of residential plots under its Sindur Vihar Housing Scheme, allocating a total of 152 plots to selected applicants.

The lottery process was carried out at the subdivision headquarters in the presence of MLA Ram Avtar Bairwa, who formally announced the allotments.

Municipal Executive Officer Banwari Meena stated that the scheme received 1,880 applications, reflecting strong demand for residential plots. He added that the allotment of 152 plots is expected to generate revenue of more than ₹22 crore for the municipality.

According to official data, the plots were distributed across various categories, including 93 plots for the general category, 15 for government employees, 10 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 13 for Scheduled Caste (SC), 15 for army personnel, and 3 plots each for transgender applicants and media personnel.

During the event, the MLA inaugurated 52 development projects worth approximately ₹11 crore. These projects include construction of cement concrete roads, drainage systems, culverts, cremation grounds, entrance gates on the Jaipur–Tonk road, an automated animal crematorium, WBM roads, and open gym facilities.
