Kanpur, March 2026: In a major push for urban development, the Kanpur Development Authority has announced an e-auction of 571 residential and non-residential plots across multiple schemes in Kanpur. The initiative has been launched on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, aiming to attract homebuyers and investors alike.

Registration & Bidding Timeline

According to the official notification, the registration for the e-auction will begin on March 23, 2026 (11:00 AM) and continue until April 21, 2026 (5:00 PM).

Bidding for the plots will open on March 24, 2026 (11:00 AM) and conclude on April 22, 2026 (5:00 PM).

Among the key schemes included are Mahaveer Nagar Extension, Shatabdi Nagar, Mandakini Enclave, Jawahar Puram, Tatya Tope Nagar and New Transport Nagar.

New Transport Nagar dominates supply

A major highlight of the auction is New Transport Nagar, which alone accounts for 232 commercial plots, making it the largest cluster in the offering. Officials expect strong participation from traders and logistics businesses for these sites.

Other schemes such as Bhagirathi & Jahnavi offer nearly 97 commercial plots, while stadium complex areas include shop and commercial units with varying sizes.

Pricing varies widely

The reserve price has been fixed depending on location and land use.

  • Residential plots start at around ₹36,900 per sq m

  • Commercial plots range from ₹38,000 to over ₹1.39 lakh per sq m

Kanpur to Get 1,200-Acre Hi-Tech Aerocity Near Chakeri Airport, KDA Plans 4,000 Plots

Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh is witnessing rapid development of hi-tech cities and modern townships, especially around major airports. Following similar projects in other metropolitan regions, Kanpur is now set to get a large-scale Hi-Tech Aerocity project near Chakeri Airport, being planned by the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA).

According to officials, the proposed township will be developed on nearly 1,200 acres of land, which has already been identified. The project is currently in the planning stage, and work on preparing the layout plan is underway.

4,000 Residential Plots Proposed

As per Town Planner Manoj Kumar, the Aerocity project will include around 4,000 residential plots of varying sizes.
