Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad ( JNTUH ) has invited online bids for the e-auction of 16 condemned vehicles through the Government of Telangana e-auction portal . The auction will be conducted on an "As Is Where Is" basis and is open only to approved Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) centres .
Interested bidders can inspect the vehicles before participating in the online auction. The university has also released the complete auction schedule, eligibility conditions, payment process and vehicle details.

According to the auction notification, participation is restricted to approved RVSF centres registered on the Government of Telangana e-auction portal . Bidders must complete registration before the auction and submit the required Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹5,000 within the prescribed timeline.
Only bidders who successfully submit the EMD will be eligible to place bids during the auction.
JNTUH has allowed prospective bidders to physically inspect the condemned vehicles before the auction.

The online auction will be conducted on the Telangana Government's official auction platform. After the auction closes, the highest bidder must deposit the required Security Deposit (SD) within the stipulated period. Upon payment approval, the successful bidder will receive the sale order.
The remaining sale value, along with applicable taxes and statutory charges, must be paid before the vehicles are released.
The JNTUH vehicle disposal exercise provides an opportunity for authorised vehicle scrapping and recycling facilities to acquire government-owned condemned vehicles through a transparent online bidding process. The auction also supports the government's policy of environmentally responsible disposal of end-of-life vehicles.

The auction will be conducted through the Government of Telangana e-auction portal on an "As Is Where Is Basis" , allowing eligible bidders to purchase vehicles through approved Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) centres.
According to the official notification issued by the Chief Engineer, JNTUH , the online auction process will begin with vehicle inspections from June 23, 2026 , while the actual bidding event is scheduled for June 30, 2026 .

Interested participants must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 5,000 . The amount is refundable for unsuccessful bidders and will be adjusted against the sale value for successful bidders.
The EMD must be submitted before the prescribed deadline to become eligible for bidding.
Bidders must first register as buyers on the Telangana Government E-Auction Portal . Only registered bidders who have successfully deposited the EMD will be allowed to participate in the online auction.
The auction will follow an open bidding format , and every bid extension will automatically increase the closing time by five minutes if fresh bids are received during the final moments of the auction.
