Mohali Aerotropolis: 8,600 Residential Plots Ranging from 100 to 2,000 Sq. Yards Announced

Mohali:
The Punjab government has begun the process of acquiring land for the massive 3,500-acre Aerotropolis township project near Chandigarh International Airport. The acquisition will be carried out under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013, covering Blocks E to J of the master plan.

Planned as a major extension of Aerocity Mohali, the Aerotropolis township will be developed as a modern urban hub featuring 8,600 residential plots ranging from 100 to 2,000 square yards, along with extensive commercial and institutional zones.

Project Highlights

• Land Pooling Option: Landowners offering 1 acre will receive 1,000 sq. yd. residential and 200 sq. yd. commercial plots.

• GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority) has already issued tenders worth ₹509 crore for development works in Blocks B, C, and D.

• The entire land acquisition process is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

Villages Covered

The upcoming township will include land from Bakarpur, Roorkee, Safipur, Matran, Manauli, Saini Majra, Chau Majra, and Chhat villages.

Once completed, the Aerotropolis project is expected to transform the Mohali region into a major residential, commercial, and institutional hub, creating new opportunities for investment and development.

E-Auction Details and Key Dates

• The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) will conduct an e-auction in Mohali of 49 sites starting from September 6, 9 AM, to September 16, 1 PM, 2024.
• Potential bidders can inquire via email at helpdesk@gmada.gov.in.

Total Reserve Price and Available Sites

• The total reserve price for all sites is Rs 2,024 crore.
• Sites available include:
  • 6 group housing sites
  • 1 hotel site
  • 1 nursing home site
  • 9 IT industrial plots
  • 2 commercial chunk sites
  • Other categories spread across Phase 8, Eco City-1, Eco City-II, and Medicity.

Prime Commercial Sites in Mohali’s Business Hub

• Major commercial sites are located at the Business Hub center, opposite the GMADA building.
• Development similar to Sector 17, Chandigarh, with three malls and business centers already under construction, and one mall operational.

• Visit the e-auction portal: https://puda.e-auctions.in.
• Registration details, payment schedule, site information (size, location), and other procedures will be available on the portal before the auction begins.

Bidding Process and Guidelines

• Bidders must place bids above the reserve price.
• Multiple bids can be placed, and there are no limits on revising bids.
• Sites will be allotted to successful bidders upon payment of 10% of the final bid price.

Terms of Site Possession

• Possession of the sites will be handed over based on the auction policy's terms and conditions.
