GDA Announces Auction of Residential and Commercial Plots in Ghaziabad; Applications Open from March 16
Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has announced a major auction of residential, commercial and institutional plots across multiple schemes in Ghaziabad, offering opportunities for homebuyers, investors and businesses.
According to the official notification dated March 6, 2026, the authority will auction various categories of plots including residential, commercial, shops, hotel plots, group housing plots, kiosks, community centre plots and institutional land across several GDA schemes.

Officials said the auction includes high-value commercial plots, residential land parcels and institutional sites, making it a significant opportunity for both property developers and individual buyers.
GDA also noted that the number of plots mentioned is tentative and may change. Final details will be available in the official auction brochure.
The authority said the initiative is aimed at encouraging planned urban development while generating revenue for future infrastructure and housing projects in Ghaziabad.

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has announced a major auction of 25 residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use plots under its flagship Madhuban Bapudham Scheme. The auction is scheduled to take place on March 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hindi Bhawan.
According to officials, the authority will auction over 25 prime plots, including group housing, commercial, hotel, mixed land-use, educational, and facility plots. The move is aimed at monetising vacant land parcels while boosting planned urban development in Ghaziabad.
The GDA has begun the process of online registration and offline application submission through HDFC Bank branches. Interested applicants can purchase and submit application brochures between February 25 and March 13, 2026, by paying the prescribed fee.
Officials stated that all necessary arrangements are being coordinated with the bank to ensure smooth participation from the public.
The auction includes high-value plots across multiple categories:
4 Group Housing Plots:
Large parcels in Pocket-A and Pocket-F, with areas up to 19,955 sq.m., and reserve prices exceeding ₹10,000 lakh, targeting real estate developers.
3 Commercial & 5 Mixed-Use Plots:
Located mainly in Pocket-A and Pocket-B, these plots are priced at a reserve rate of ₹70,000 per sq.m., offering strong investment potential for business and retail development.
3 Hotel Plots:
Premium hospitality plots in Pocket-B and Pocket-C, including one spread over 9,157 sq.m., are expected to attract hospitality sector investors.
1 Educational & 9 Facility Plots:
The authority has also included a high school plot and several facility plots, with reserve rates ranging from ₹35,000 to ₹52,500 per sq.m., in line with urban infrastructure development goals.
The reserve prices for the plots range from approximately ₹691 lakh to over ₹10,476 lakh, depending on size and category. Earnest money deposits (EMD) have been fixed proportionately, with some exceeding ₹1,000 lakh for large group housing plots.
All developments and land use regulations will be governed by the Uttar Pradesh Building Construction and Development Bye-laws, 2025, ensuring compliance with modern urban planning standards.

Real estate experts believe the auction could generate strong interest due to Ghaziabad’s growing connectivity and demand for planned developments near Delhi-NCR.
“This is a significant opportunity for developers and investors to acquire large land parcels in a structured township,” a senior GDA official said.
The authority has directed its IT department to upload full auction details and property lists on its official website to ensure transparency and easy access for applicants.
