Chandigarh Housing Board e-Auction 2026: 79 Commercial Properties to be Auctioned on Lease Through GeM Portal

Every bidder must register on the GeM Portal before submitting bids. The auction will be conducted individually for each commercial property, with the highest eligible bidder quoting above the reserve price receiving the allotment.

The Housing Board has announced the following important dates:

  • Start of EMD Payment: 15 July 2026 (9:00 AM)
  • Last Date for EMD Payment: 23 July 2026 (5:00 PM)
  • E-Auction Begins: 25 July 2026 (9:00 AM)
  • E-Auction Ends: 4 August 2026 (4:00 PM)

Inspection Schedule

Interested bidders can inspect all available commercial properties every Saturday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM until the EMD submission period ends. Site offices and Google Map locations have been provided by the Chandigarh Housing Board for easier identification of each property.

Payment Terms

Successful bidders must comply with the following payment schedule:

  • 25% of the bid amount (after adjusting EMD) must be deposited within five working days after the auction.
  • The remaining 75% must be paid within 90 days from the date of acceptance.
  • Failure to pay within the prescribed period may result in forfeiture of the deposited amount and cancellation of allotment .

Lease Period

The commercial properties are offered on a 33-year lease , which is renewable twice for another 33 years each , allowing a maximum lease tenure of 99 years , subject to compliance with lease conditions. Annual ground rent will apply according to the lease period.

  • Auction will be conducted strictly on an "As Is Where Is" basis.
  • Separate EMD is required for every property.
  • The successful bidder must execute the lease deed after completing payment.
