Howrah:
The West Bengal Excise Department, Howrah (Rural) will conduct an open public auction of 33 seized vehicles on February 16, 2026, officials said.
The vehicles, confiscated in connection with various excise cases, will be sold through an open auction at the Office of the Superintendent of Excise, Howrah (Rural), located at Panpur More on NH-16, Jaduberia, from 11.30 am onwards.
According to the official notice issued by the Excise Department, the auction will be supervised by the Deputy Excise Collector (DEC), Uluberia Range and DEC, Amta Range.

A total of 33 vehicles will go under the hammer, including:
11 four-wheelers
2 three-wheelers
20 two-wheelers
The reserve prices, as approved by a committee constituted by the competent authority, will be disclosed prior to the auction.
Interested bidders must submit their applications at least seven days before the auction to the concerned supervising officer, furnishing their full name and address along with a valid photo identity proof.
Vehicle inspection has been scheduled for February 11, 2026.
No bid below the reserve price will be accepted.
Successful bidders must deposit the entire bid amount immediately after the auction into a dedicated bank account.
Buyers will have to arrange the removal of vehicles at their own cost immediately after the auction.
The supervising officer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning any reason.
Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) must be paid before the auction, as per prescribed rules.
The notice has been forwarded for wide publicity to senior excise officials and for uploading on the Howrah district website, ensuring transparency in the disposal of confiscated vehicles.
Officials advised prospective bidders to inspect the vehicles carefully before participating, as the sale is being conducted strictly as per excise auction rules.
