Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board (UPAVP) has announced a fresh opportunity for property buyers and investors to acquire residential, educational and other non-residential properties through e-auction across several cities of Uttar Pradesh. The auction is being organised around the Independence Day period and covers properties under different housing schemes in Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Bareilly, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Kanpur zones.
The latest UP Housing Board e-auction 2026 is scheduled for August 25, 2026 , while registration and token money deposits will remain open from August 10 to August 24, 2026.
A special opportunity has also been highlighted for Vrindavan Yojana in Lucknow , where plots intended to support the development of IT and AI infrastructure are being offered at affordable rates.

The properties include residential properties, educational properties and other non-residential assets . The available inventory is spread across the cities and schemes falling under the Meerut, Lucknow, Agra, Bareilly, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Kanpur zones.

One of the key highlights of the latest UP Housing Board property auction is the availability of plots in Vrindavan Yojana, Lucknow .

Applicants bidding for properties reserved for a particular category must upload the relevant reservation certificate under the “Other Document” section of the e-auction portal.
If an applicant participates in bidding for a reserved-category property but is subsequently found to be ineligible for that category, the application may be treated as incomplete or invalid.
In such cases, the entire token money may be forfeited , and subsequent claims will not be accepted.
All UP Housing Board properties will be disposed of on an “as is where is” basis .
Potential bidders should therefore inspect and verify the property and related details before placing their bids.
For residential and non-residential properties, construction work must be completed after obtaining the approved building plan within five years of taking physical possession.
Failure to complete construction within the prescribed period may result in the payment of applicable non-construction charges or time-extension charges as per the rules.
Decisions relating to UP Housing Board residential and non-residential properties will be taken according to the provisions of the Council's Property Disposal Regulations, 2016.
Apart from the e-auction notice, the Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad has issued a separate eligibility and numbering draw notice for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) at Gram Barel in Tehsil Nawabganj, Barabanki.
Registration for G+3 type Economically Weaker Section (EWS) houses under the scheme was conducted from August 15, 2022 to September 15, 2022.
A total of 165 applications were received. Of these, 106 applicants were found ineligible , while 59 applicants were found eligible for the eligibility and numbering draw.

The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Council (UPAVP) has launched a new housing scheme for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) . The scheme was introduced on January 26, 2026 , and offers affordable 1 BHK flats in Avadh Vihar, Lucknow .
The housing scheme aims to provide ownership housing to eligible low-income families at subsidised rates.

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council is giving fresh momentum to the dream of home ownership for thousands of poor and needy families across the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) , affordable, safe and dignified housing is being provided in several districts, including Lucknow, helping families move from makeshift shelters to permanent homes.
Over the past months, the pace of construction and allotment of residential units for low-income households has gained significant traction. Families with an annual income of less than ₹3 lakh are being prioritised under affordable housing schemes. Multi-storey apartment blocks have been developed and handed over to eligible beneficiaries, many of whom previously lived in slums, rented rooms or temporary dwellings.
Officials said that basic civic amenities such as drinking water, electricity, internal roads and sanitation facilities have been ensured in these housing complexes. The initiative aims not only to provide houses but also to enhance the overall quality of life of economically weaker sections .
So far, 72 poor families have been allotted flats under the scheme in the latest phase. The implementation is being carried out in coordination with the Lucknow Development Authority , Housing Development Council , Municipal Corporation and PWD .
Authorities added that houses are being offered at subsidised rates with easy instalment facilities , reducing the financial burden on beneficiaries. The transition from kutcha houses to pucca homes is helping improve social security, health conditions and a sense of dignity among residents.
With the expanding rollout of PMAY projects in urban and semi-urban pockets, the long-cherished aspiration of owning a permanent home is gradually becoming a reality for thousands of families in Uttar Pradesh.
