Hyderabad: The Telangana Housing Board (TGHB) has announced an open auction of 16 vacant MIG plots in Phase-VII of KPHB Colony, Kukatpally . The auction notification, dated August 10, 2026, states that the plots will be offered to the general public on an “as is where is” basis .
The KPHB plot auction 2026 is scheduled for September 2, 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Housing Board Community Hall, KPHB Phase-I & II, Kukatpally.

The official auction notice lists all 16 plots at 194.44 sq yards each , with an upset price of ₹1.60 lakh per sq yard and an EMD of ₹2 lakh.

Applicants participating in the Telangana Housing Board auction are required to deposit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹2 lakh , according to the auction notice.

The successful bidder will have to pay 25% of the bid amount , after adjustment of the EMD, along with 1% auction expenses , within five days from the date of auction.
If the required payment is not made within the stipulated period, the auction can be cancelled and the EMD forfeited.
After confirmation of the auction by the Vice-Chairman and Housing Commissioner, the remaining 75% of the bid amount has to be paid within the prescribed schedule.

The Telangana Housing Board has specified that payments towards the plots must be made through the designated Virtual Account/Virtual ID created by Kotak Mahindra Bank under the Board's collection arrangement.
Payments made through cash, cheque or any account other than the designated Virtual Account will be treated as invalid and will not be recognised by the Telangana Housing Board.
