Telangana Housing Board Launches Naming Contest for Mega Housing Scheme; Winner to Get ₹1 Lakh

The Telangana government is preparing to launch a large-scale housing initiative aimed at fulfilling the dreams of low-income group (LIG) families. For the first time after the state formation, an ambitious plan to construct one lakh flats under the Core Urban Region Expansion (CURE) framework has been proposed.

In a unique move to engage the public, the government has announced a creative naming contest for this flagship housing scheme. The person who suggests the most suitable and impactful name will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.

Public Participation in Naming the Scheme

The Telangana Housing Board has invited citizens to participate in naming the upcoming mega project. According to Vice Chairman V.P. Gautam, the initiative is designed to encourage public involvement and make the project more people-centric.

Suggestions can be submitted through social media platforms until the 28th of this month. Entries are being collected mainly via the board’s official Instagram handle.
