Samastipur Vehicle Auction 2026: 26 Seized Vehicles to Go Under Hammer on May 27

The office of the Superintendent of Excise in Samastipur has announced the third public auction for vehicles remaining unsold from the earlier auction held on May 13, 2026. The fresh auction is scheduled for May 27, 2026, while the last date for submitting applications is May 26, 2026.

According to the official notification, a total of 26 confiscated vehicles including motorcycles, trucks, tempo vehicles, an ambulance and a Hyundai Verna SX car will be auctioned. These vehicles were seized in different prohibition and excise-related cases registered across police stations in the district.

Most Expensive Vehicles in the Auction

The highest-priced vehicle in the auction is the Truck DL-1MA-8806, carrying a reserve price of Rs 9.50 lakh. Another major attraction is the Hyundai Verna SX car with a base price of Rs 2.25 lakh.

The auction also includes a government ambulance, tempo vehicles and several motorcycles from brands commonly seized in prohibition-related cases across Bihar.

Application and Bidding Process

Interested bidders must complete the application process before May 26, 2026. Participants will be required to deposit a 20% security amount based on the reserve price of each vehicle.

Officials from Bihar Prohibition and Excise Department stated that the vehicles will be auctioned on an “as-is-where-is” basis. Buyers are advised to physically inspect the vehicles before participating in the bidding process.

The notification has also been forwarded to the district NIC office for wider publication on the official district website.

Overview

The Excise & Prohibition Department, Samastipur has announced the public auction of confiscated vehicles seized under the provisions of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016 and its amended version (2018).
These vehicles were confiscated in various police and excise cases across Samastipur district.

The first general and scrap auction will take place on 18 October 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Excise Office, Samastipur. If necessary, the auction may continue on the next working day.

All interested bidders are required to deposit the security amount (20% of reserve price) by 15 October 2025 (within office hours) through a bank draft in favor of “Excise Superintendent, Samastipur.”
