MSTC (Metal Scrap Trade Corporation) is a government-owned e-auction portal where users can bid on various items such as metal and non-metal scrap, immovable properties, bank NPA assets, and more. This guide will help you understand how to search, register, and participate in auctions on MSTC.
Open the MSTC website: https://www.mstcecommerce.com/
Go to the 'e-Auction' section
Select 'General Auction' or the relevant category
Enter the CAPTCHA and proceed
View the tender list and their details
Click on the 'Auction Catalog' section on the website
Choose the auction category: Metal, Scrap, Property, etc.
Read the terms and conditions
After logging in, you can view photos and more details
To place bids on MSTC, you must register as a buyer or seller.
Visit the MSTC website and click on 'New Registration'
Select either Buyer or Seller option
Enter your mobile number and email ID, verify via OTP
General Scrap Auction
Property Auction (E-Vikray)
Bank NPA Assets Auction
Choose either individual or company profile
Fill in your name, address, pin code, GST (if applicable)
Enter bank details (Account Number, IFSC Code)
Choose a user ID and verify via OTP
Pay the registration fee (via NEFT / RTGS)
A confirmation link and password will be sent to your email
Open the MSTC portal
Enter your user ID and password
An OTP will be sent to your email, enter it to continue
After successful login, the bidding interface will appear
Use the search option to find the Bid ID
Click on 'View Live Auction'
Check the auction date and time
At the scheduled time, go to the 'Live Auction' section
Begin the bidding process
After registration, transfer the EMD amount to MSTC via NEFT/RTGS
Enter the transaction details on the MSTC portal
Only after EMD verification will you be allowed to place bids
Important updates like auction schedules and login notices often appear as popups on the MSTC page — always read them carefully.
