Applications Open for Sardar Bhagat Singh Housing Scheme in Rawatbhata; 106 Plots to Be Allotted via E-Lottery

Rawatbhata: The municipal authorities have opened applications for the Sardar Bhagat Singh Residential Scheme, being developed near the Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha Bus Stand on Kota Road.

The scheme, recently inaugurated by MLA Dr. Suresh Dhakad, aims to provide residential plots to eligible families across different income categories, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), and High Income Group (HIG).

According to officials, a total of 106 plots will be allotted under the scheme. This includes:

• 90 residential plots
• 6 commercial plots
• 10 informal commercial plots

Out of these, 69 residential plots will be allotted through an online e-lottery system, ensuring transparency. The remaining plots will be distributed through e-auction on both leasehold and freehold bases.

Category-wise Plot Details:

• EWS (40.5 sq m): 42 plots priced at ₹3.34 lakh
• LIG (72 sq m): 8 plots priced at ₹9.51 lakh
• HIG (135–162 sq m): 19 plots priced between ₹23.42 lakh and ₹28.10 lakh
  (Registration and lease charges extra)

The development will follow RERA guidelines, and successful applicants will be granted possession as per norms.

Infrastructure & Facilities:

The upcoming residential colony will include:

• Paved roads
• Street lighting
• Drinking water pipeline
• Parks and other basic amenities

Officials said the project is aimed at providing planned and affordable housing, especially benefiting families who do not yet own residential land. The transparent allocation process is expected to offer a fair opportunity for eligible applicants to secure plots and move towards permanent housing.

The scheme is also seen as a step toward planned urban expansion in the region.
