The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has once again postponed the draw for 4,186 housing units under its Pune Board, extending the wait for over 2.15 lakh applicants. Officials said the lottery, which was earlier scheduled for December 16 or 17, has been cancelled due to pending technical issues, and a new date has not yet been announced.
Pune, October 28, 2025: In a major relief for homebuyers, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has extended the last date to apply for its Pune Board Housing Lottery 2025 till November 20, 2025. The scheme, which offers 4,186 affordable flats across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, PMRDA region, and nearby districts, has witnessed strong interest from middle-class home seekers.
According to the revised schedule, applicants can now submit their forms online until 11:59 p.m. on November 20, while earnest money deposits (EMD) can be paid online till the same date and via RTGS/NEFT until the close of banking hours on November 21, 2025. The computerized draw is scheduled to be conducted on December 11, 2025, at 12 noon.
The Pune Board’s 2025 housing lottery includes projects located in prime and rapidly developing zones such as Wakad, Hinjawadi, Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli. The flats are priced significantly lower than comparable private market options, with 2BHK units available between ₹28.42 lakh and ₹28.74 lakh, offering an attractive entry point for middle-income buyers.
The flagship project under this lottery is ‘Yashwin Arbo Centro’, a private partnership housing development near Bhumkar Chowk and Indira Gandhi College. The project enjoys excellent connectivity to the Mumbai–Bengaluru Highway, Hinjawadi IT Park, and essential civic amenities, making it a prime residential choice for working professionals.
The Pune Board’s scheme covers four major categories:
1,683 flats under the MHADA Housing Scheme on a First Come, First Served basis.
299 flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), also First Come, First Served.
864 flats under the 15% Inclusive Housing Scheme in the PMRDA region.
3,222 flats under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme within PMC, PCMC, and PMRDA limits.
Speaking on the extension, Mr. Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer of MHADA’s Pune Board, said the decision came after repeated requests from citizens who sought more time to complete documentation and payments.
“We received numerous representations from applicants seeking a short extension due to technical and banking delays. The extension aims to ensure maximum participation and transparency,” Sakore said.
He also urged applicants to register only through MHADA’s official websites — https://lottery.mhada.gov.in and https://bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in — and to refer to the detailed information booklet available on https://housing.mhada.gov.in.
For assistance, applicants can contact the MHADA helpline at 022-69468100.
MHADA officials have issued a strict warning to citizens against dealing with unauthorized representatives or agents claiming to facilitate applications.
“MHADA has not authorized any consultant or property agent to act on its behalf. Any private or fraudulent transaction will be entirely at the applicant’s own risk,” Sakore cautioned.
The MHADA Pune Board Lottery 2025 aligns with the state’s ongoing efforts to promote affordable and inclusive housing. By offering homes at prices nearly ₹60–70 lakh lower than similar private projects in Pune’s IT corridor, the scheme is expected to ease housing access for working families and first-time buyers.
Last Date to Apply: November 20, 2025 (11:59 p.m.)
