Public Auction of Seized Vehicles by Koderma Forest Division

The Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Government of Jharkhand, through the Divisional Forest Officer, Koderma Forest Division, has announced a public auction of seized vehicles. The auction will take place on 29th August 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Divisional Forest Office, Koderma.

In case the scheduled date is declared a holiday, the auction will automatically be conducted on the next working day.

Vehicles to be Auctioned

A wide range of seized vehicles from Domchanch, Koderma, Ghajhandi, Satgawan Forest Ranges, and Chandwara Police Station will be auctioned. The vehicles include:

  • Heavy vehicles: Tata 407, Tata 207, Tata 709, Tata LP trucks, 10-wheeler and 12-wheeler trucks, etc.

  • Utility vehicles: Tempos, Tata Magic, Pick-up vans, Bolero pick-ups, Commander Jeep, and mini trucks.

  • Tractors: Mahindra and HMT tractors with trolleys, compressors, and other attachments.

  • Two-wheelers: Hero Honda, Splendor Plus, CT-100, CD Deluxe, and other motorcycles.

  • Machinery: JCB machines.

In total, more than 55 vehicles will be available for sale under the “As is, Where is” basis.


Auction Terms and Conditions

  1. Eligibility: GST registration is mandatory for all individuals/firms wishing to participate.

  2. Deposit Requirement: Each bidder must deposit ₹10,000/- (Gate Money) in cash or demand draft in favour of the Divisional Forest Officer, Koderma Forest Division, before 2:00 PM on the auction day.

  3. Payment Terms:

    • The successful bidder must pay 25% of the bid amount immediately after the auction.

    • The remaining amount, including applicable taxes (Income Tax, GST under Reverse Charge Mechanism), must be paid within 30 days of the auction date.

  4. Vehicle Condition: All vehicles will be sold on an “As is, Where is” basis. The cost of transportation or removal shall be borne by the purchaser.

  5. Refunds: Deposits of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded immediately. For successful bidders, the deposit will be adjusted against the purchase price.

  6. Authority Rights: The Divisional Forest Officer reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or alter the auction without prior notice.

  7. Forfeiture: Failure to pay the full amount within the stipulated period will lead to forfeiture of both deposit and security in favour of the Jharkhand State Government.

  8. Inspection: Interested participants may inspect the vehicles at their respective locations during office hours before the auction.

  9. Jurisdiction: Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of Koderma.
