The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been implementing several housing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to provide affordable homes to economically weaker and middle-income families in the city. Various projects developed under the scheme offer EWS (Economically Weaker Section), LIG (Lower Income Group), and MIG (Middle Income Group) housing units across different locations in Bhopal.
The housing projects have been offered on a First Come, First Serve basis, allowing eligible beneficiaries to secure residential units by completing registration and payment formalities as prescribed by the municipal corporation.

According to the latest housing promotion released by the municipal corporation, the Arhedi Housing Project offers 56 Non-Slum EWS housing units .

The project has been launched to provide affordable housing opportunities to eligible beneficiaries under PMAY.
Under a separate registration drive, Bhopal Municipal Corporation invited applications from homeless families residing as tenants and having an annual income of less than ₹3 lakh .
These projects offered 1 BHK EWS flats with a built-up area of approximately 40 square metres.

Applicants were required to submit online applications along with Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, photograph, tenancy proof, bank passbook and affidavit.
A registration amount of ₹52,500 had to be deposited through online banking, NEFT or RTGS into designated municipal corporation accounts.
The municipal corporation also offered registered beneficiaries an opportunity to deposit the remaining beneficiary contribution and select available housing units under various residential projects.
These projects include Kokta Transport Nagar, 12 No. Bus Stop, Ganga Nagar, Bhanpur, Malikhedi and Rahul Nagar (Rivera Town) .

The housing notices specify that beneficiaries with disabilities would receive priority during the housing selection process. Preference in allotment would be provided as per the prescribed guidelines.
Beneficiaries may avail housing loans from banks under applicable PMAY provisions. Loan eligibility and interest subsidy benefits are subject to prevailing Government of India guidelines and bank norms at the time of loan processing.
