The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) has announced the launch of various housing schemes under which 661 residential flats are being offered for allotment through online lottery. Interested applicants can register between September 26, 2025 and October 25, 2025 via the official websites janhit.upda.in and pdaprayagraj.org.

Allotment & Payment Terms

DUDA Receives 63,000 Applications for PMAY Housing in Prayagraj

 The District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) has reported a strong response to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), with more than 63,000 applications received for affordable housing in the city.

According to DUDA project director Pratibha Srivastava, the agency aims to provide homes to around 1.2 lakh residents of Sangam City. The screening process is currently underway. Of the 20,000 applications reviewed so far, nearly 70% have been found eligible, while the rest are still being verified.

Last year, DUDA had allotted housing to 26,437 eligible beneficiaries under the same scheme. Officials expect the number of applicants to rise further in the coming weeks.

In addition to DUDA’s efforts, several other agencies are also working to expand housing availability in Prayagraj:

  • The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) is developing the Nav Prayagam Township on 26 hectares in Naini, which will accommodate over 45,000 people.

  • The Housing Development Board is preparing a new plotting scheme in Naini that could provide 1,500 residential plots.

  • Around 12,000 to 15,000 houses are also expected to be offered under the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Housing Schemes, delivered through gram panchayats.

With a population exceeding 7.5 million, Prayagraj is a key focus for the state government’s housing push. Authorities have emphasized that the goal is to maximize the number of beneficiaries covered under central and state housing schemes in the city.
