The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) has rolled out a major housing initiative, announcing the sale of 206 residential plots spread across six housing projects through an online registration and auction system starting this week.
According to PDA officials, including Secretary Ajit Singh, all the plots will be sold through e-auction mode, ensuring transparency in the allocation process. Out of these, 40 new plots have also been added to the sale list.
The plot sizes will range from 60 square meters to 150 square meters, making them ideal for middle-class buyers aspiring to build their own homes within the city limits.
The proposed sale list includes plots in several key housing schemes under PDA:
Devprayag Raj Jhalwa: 107 plots (largest share)
Kalindipuram Awas Yojana: 14 plots
Kasari Masari Phase 1 & Phase 2: 5 plots
Naini Awas Yojana: 30 plots
Janavipuram Awas Yojana: 45 plots
The total number of plots offered across these housing colonies is 206, and officials indicated that registrations could start this week.
In addition to the plot scheme, PDA currently has 11 ongoing flat schemes comprising 661 flats, for which registration is already open. The authority plans to allot these flats through a lottery system next month.
The detailed brochure for the new plot auction, along with eligibility criteria, pricing, and registration instructions, will soon be uploaded on the official PDA website.

Reservation benefits will be given to SC, ST, OBC, freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, and differently-abled persons as per government rules.

The District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) has reported a strong response to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), with more than 63,000 applications received for affordable housing in the city.
According to DUDA project director Pratibha Srivastava, the agency aims to provide homes to around 1.2 lakh residents of Sangam City. The screening process is currently underway. Of the 20,000 applications reviewed so far, nearly 70% have been found eligible, while the rest are still being verified.
Last year, DUDA had allotted housing to 26,437 eligible beneficiaries under the same scheme. Officials expect the number of applicants to rise further in the coming weeks.
