Application Status
Your applications are currently at the second stage.
On 7th September, the forms were transferred to the next official.
Earlier, applications were held up due to income certificate issues, but now that hurdle has been removed.
No applications have been cancelled. All forms have been accepted.
If you are allotted a flat in the lottery, you will only need to provide your income certificate at that stage.
Lottery Process
The lottery will be conducted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself.
The process will be completely online and transparent.
There will be no scope for middlemen or bribes—names will be selected fairly.
A total of 120 applicants will be allotted flats through this draw.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has received an overwhelming response to its latest affordable housing scheme, where 120 flats have been opened for registration. Of these, 90 are reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 30 for the Low-Income Group (LIG) under the General category.
In addition, 40 flats have been earmarked for land-giving farmers, including 30 EWS and 10 LIG units.
The scheme has witnessed heavy competition, with an average of 77 applicants vying for each flat. The rush is particularly intense for EWS flats, where there are more than 125 claimants per unit.
Currently, the scrutiny of documents and income certificates of applicants is underway. Officials have cautioned that incomplete or invalid documentation may disqualify applicants from participating in the draw.
The housing lottery will be conducted at the GDA premises in September, and successful allottees will be required to complete formalities within 45 days of selection.
Number of Applications
This year, around 9,300 applications were received.
Out of these, over 6,000 applications were for the EWS category.
Lottery Date
The lottery will be held on the occasion of Navratri.
If your name comes up in the lottery, consider yourself very lucky—it means your dream flat has been allotted.
