The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has intensified work on its three major township projects—Varun Vihar Awas Yojana, Naimish Nagar Yojana, and the upcoming IT City Township on Sultanpur Road. According to officials, land acquisition, compensation, and infrastructure preparations are in full swing, and the first phase is expected to be launched by Navratri in March.
LDA is acquiring land for the IT City project under the land pooling system.
Farmers contributing land will receive 25% developed land back.
Plot allotment through lottery system is expected by January for first-line farmers.
Total Area: 1,696 acres
Residential Plots: 72 sq.m to 1,250 sq.m
Most Common Plot Size: 200 sq.m (Approx. 1,800 plots)
Industrial Area: 350 acres
Commercial Zone: 60 acres
Features to include Green Belt, Golf City, Water Bodies
Land for the Naimish Nagar project is being acquired with consent from farmers.
18 villages identified for land acquisition
Major villages include:
Bhoili, Lakshmipur Purabgaon, Purwa Serpur, Farrukhabad Kodari, Kamalabad, Kamalapur, Palhari, Gopramau, Barumau, Dhauringa, Saidapur Paschimgaon, Dhobaila, Umarbh, Dugaur, etc.
Approx. ₹4,785 crore project cost
Farmers have already received ₹400 crore in compensation

LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar stated:
“All three township projects will include high-tech infrastructure—Global Business Park, IT & AI Parks, Super Speciality Medical Zones, and large industrial plots. Significant employment opportunities will emerge as industries set up units. Once the layout is finalised, the schemes will be launched.”
