Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), under its Sharavathy Hydro-Electric Project, has issued an official e-Auction Notification No. KPCL/2025-26/AUCTION126 dated 19 January 2026 for the disposal of 33 departmental scrap vehicles on an “As Is Where Is” basis.
The auction will be conducted exclusively through the Government of Karnataka e-Procurement portal (KPPP).
The auction includes 33 scrap vehicles such as:
Tata buses, mini buses, vans, lorries
Mahindra jeeps and ambulances
Fire tender and crane vehicles
These vehicles are located at Jog, Kargal, Gerusoppa and Bhadra (BRP) projects under KPCL in Shivamogga district, Karnataka.
Auction Notification Date: 19 January 2026
Inspection Period:
20 January 2026 to 16 February 2026
(09:00 AM to 04:00 PM on working days)
Live e-Auction Date & Time: As per KPPP Portal
Total EMD for all lots: ₹8,12,880
EMD must be paid online through the KPPP portal
Bidders may participate in individual or multiple lots by paying the respective EMD
Only bidders fulfilling the following conditions are eligible:
Registered scrap dealers
CPCB/SPCB authorised vendors
Must possess a valid Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) certificate issued by the Transport Department
RVSF must be installed within Karnataka
PAN Card
GST Registration Certificate
Address Proof (Aadhaar / Driving Licence)
Scrap dealership proof
CPCB/SPCB Authorisation
RVSF Certificate
Filled & signed Declaration-1 and Declaration-2
Successful bidder must pay 100% bid amount within 30 days
Vehicles must be lifted within 60 days
Vehicles must be scrapped only at authorised RVSF facilities
Certificate of Destruction must be submitted to KPCL for EMD refund
