Jhansi Development Authority to Open Registration for Phase-2 Plot Scheme in Rund Karari Township in January 2026
The Jhansi Development Authority (JDA) is set to open registration for Phase-2 of its residential plot scheme in the rapidly developing Rund Karari township, providing fresh hope to thousands of applicants who missed out in the first phase.
According to officials, JDA is developing a mega township spread over nearly 1,000 acres in Rund Karari, which will be developed in nine sectors. Registration for the second phase, covering around 75 acres, is expected to open in January 2026.

The Jhansi Development Authority (JDA) has announced that the allotment of residential plots under the Hon’ble Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme, New Jhansi, Phase-1 will be carried out through an online e-lottery system.
This initiative aims to ensure transparency and provide equal opportunity to all applicants.

Jhansi Development Authority Launches “Mukhyamantri Shahri Vistaarikaran Yojana” Phase-I for New Jhansi
In a major Diwali special initiative, the Jhansi Development Authority (JDA) has announced the launch of Phase-I of the “Mukhyamantri Shahri Vistaarikaran Yojana” in New Jhansi, providing affordable residential plots for citizens across all income categories.
Promoted under the slogan “Sapno Ka Ghar Ab Jhansi Mein”, the scheme aims to promote affordable housing through transparent e-lottery and e-auction systems.

Allotment of plots will be conducted through e-lottery and e-auction to ensure full transparency.
Applicants must pay 10% of the plot cost as registration money at the time of application.
Plots are situated at Mauza Kasari (Revenue Village Rudra Karari) along the Jhansi–Gwalior National Highway (NH-44), around 13 km from Jhansi Railway Station.
The project falls under the Affordable Housing Scheme and offers convenient connectivity to major city areas.
The land rate has been fixed at ₹12,500 per sq. meter, with plots available in multiple categories.
A total of 681 residential plots are being offered under Phase-I:

Additional premiums apply for special locations:
Corner plot: +10%
Park-facing: +5%

If all three apply, a total 20% premium will be charged.

To apply under the scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must be between 18 and 45 years of age.
Neither the applicant nor their spouse/minor children should own any residential plot, house, or flat allotted by JDA, UPAVP, or any other authority within Jhansi.
Including this property, the applicant must not own more than two properties anywhere in Uttar Pradesh.
Applicants must submit a ₹10 notarized affidavit confirming eligibility.
EWS/LIG applicants must provide a Tehsil-issued income certificate verified through affidavit.

Two payment options are available:
1. One-Time Payment:
90% of the total cost must be paid within 60 days of allotment.
2. Installment Plan:
30% payable within 60 days of allotment.
Remaining 60% to be paid in 20 quarterly installments over 5 years.
All freehold charges must be paid before registration.
Successful allottees under e-lottery must complete payments as per their selected plan.
The scheme is supported by the State Bank of India (SBI).
