The Jaisalmer Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) is preparing to launch one of the biggest land auction initiatives in the city's history by introducing its first-ever farmhouse scheme. Under the ambitious project, 225 farmhouse plots , each measuring 2,000 square metres , will be auctioned at some of the most sought-after locations in Jaisalmer.
The move marks a significant shift from UIT's traditional focus on residential and commercial plots. Officials believe the scheme will not only boost investment in the city's real estate sector but also generate substantial revenue for the authority.

UIT Secretary Sukharam Pindel said that approximately 225 farmhouse plots of 2,000 square metres each will be allotted through an open auction process.
