Jaipur Rural Police Issues Public Notice for Auction of Unclaimed Vehicles

Jaipur (Rajasthan), October 2, 2025: The Superintendent of Police, Jaipur Rural, has issued a public notice announcing the proposed auction of unclaimed vehicles seized under Section 38 of the Police Act. The notification has been released under Rule 8(3) of the Rajasthan Police Rules, 2008, inviting claims and objections from the general public before the auction process begins. Vehicles Seized Under Police Act According to the notice, several vehicles have been seized by various police stations in Jaipur Rural district over time. Despite continuous efforts by the authorities, the owners or legal heirs of these vehicles could not be traced. The attached list includes details of all such unclaimed or abandoned vehicles kept in police custody.

90-Day Deadline for Claims

Individuals who have any ownership claim or objection (ujradari) regarding the vehicles listed are advised to submit their written claim within 90 days from the date of publication of this notice. Claims, along with valid ownership documents, can be presented either at:

  • The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Jaipur Rural, or

  • The concerned Police Station where the vehicle was seized.

Notice to Be Published and Displayed Publicly

The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Rajasthan has been requested to publish the notice in state and local newspapers to ensure public awareness.

Official Statement

The notice has been issued by Ms. Rashi Dogra Dudi, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Jaipur Rural, under file number 4-15/Ja/Asha/De/Malkhana/25/22327-36, dated October 2, 2025.

The directive has also been communicated to the Inspector General of Police, Jaipur Range, and all Superintendents of Police across Rajasthan, including GRP Ajmer and Jodhpur, for necessary follow-up and coordination. The list of seized and unclaimed vehicles includes over 170 two-wheelers and other vehicles from police stations such as Govindgarh, Jamwaramgarh, Chandwaji, Aandhi, Shahpura, Amarsar, Phulera, Renwal, Madhorajpura, and Fagi.

Members of the public who recognize or claim ownership of any vehicle on the list are urged to contact the respective authorities before the deadline.
