Gurugram’s Global City Gears Up for Auction of Mixed-Use Plots

Sep 19 2025

Preparations are underway for the auction of mixed-use plots in the ambitious Global City project, being developed in Gurugram. The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) is finalizing plans to put the plots up for sale through an online e-bidding system.

First Phase Development

The Global City is being developed across 1,000 acres, of which 587 acres are included in the first phase. Around ₹940 crore is being invested in infrastructure works such as roads, utility tunnels, drainage systems, and water supply. With these facilities nearing completion, the stage is now set for auctioning plots to developers.

Investment Opportunities

The plots are designed for mixed-use development, allowing construction of both residential and commercial towers. The project also includes industrial spaces, making it a self-sustaining hub. Key features include:

  • Pedestrian-friendly zones

  • A dedicated heli-hub

  • Utility tunnels for modern infrastructure

  • Green, sustainable design

The development is being modeled on global benchmarks, aiming to create a major IT and business hub comparable to international cities.

International Outreach

To attract investors, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will visit Dubai next month. He will lead a delegation to meet entrepreneurs and real estate developers, highlighting the investment potential of Global City. The visit, originally scheduled for early September, was postponed and will now take place in the coming month.

Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh confirmed that after the Dubai visit, the auction process will begin. He also indicated that subsequent phases of development could be awarded to agencies once the initial auction is complete.
