The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has invited online applications for 2,986 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban). The housing units are being developed by M/s SGS Construction & Developers Pvt. Ltd. in SGS City–1 and SGS City–2 projects located along NH-24, Ghaziabad.
GDA Vice Chairman Nand Kishore Kalaal has directed strict action against private developers who failed to construct and allot EWS and LIG units on time. Following these instructions, applications have now been opened for the pending EWS units. A monitoring committee headed by the GDA Secretary has also been constituted to regularly review compliance by private developers.

The tentative cost of each EWS house has been fixed at ₹4.98 lakh. Under PMAY (Urban):
₹1.50 lakh assistance from the Central Government
₹1.00 lakh assistance from the State Government
After a total subsidy of ₹2.50 lakh, the beneficiary will need to pay approximately ₹1.98 lakh per flat, subject to final project cost adjustments as per rules.

The schemes are being published as per orders issued by the Vice Chairman, GDA, dated 24 November 2025. The developer has also been instructed to publicize the scheme through national and local newspapers.
