Dhanbad: The Dhanbad Zila Parishad has invited applications for the allotment of 124 shops constructed at different locations across the district through an open auction . The shops will be allotted temporarily to the highest bidder on the basis of an 11-month agreement .

The auction covers shops in Topchanchi, Putki-Jamadoba, Nirsa, Baghmara, Phularitand and surrounding areas . According to the official notice, the auction will be conducted on September 24 and 25, 2026 , depending on the location of the shops.

The monthly rent starts at Rs 500 for several shops, while rates for other locations range from Rs 600 to Rs 1,100 per month. A separate rate of Rs 13 per square feet per month has been fixed for the shops on the Putki-Jamadoba road.
