The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to conduct a large-scale e-auction of more than 200 premium properties across the capital, offering fresh opportunities for event spaces, retail outlets, and public facilities. The auction, structured on a licence-fee basis, is aimed at addressing the rising demand for venues during the upcoming festive season.
The auction will feature a wide mix of properties, including:
115+ function sites for religious and cultural events
Aarambh Cafés (five locations, including three operational and two under construction)
Amrit Dhara Food Court at Dwarka Sector 9
Shopping centre at Dwarka Sector 23
Eight kiosks at Vikas Sadan
Nearly 80 mobile tower sites spread across the city
Officials confirmed that the sites—both newly identified and reclaimed—are categorised into six lots and are free from legal complications.
Registration & Earnest Money Deposit: August 26 – September 25, 2025
E-Auction Commencement: September 30, 2025
A notable highlight of the auction is the inclusion of Aarambh Cafés, developed as part of study-library hubs under the direction of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. The initiative was launched in response to the tragic July 2024 Rajinder Nagar incident, where three students lost their lives, leading to a push for safer and modern study environments in the city.
Three cafés already operational in Old Rajinder Nagar, Adhchini, and Dwarka Sector 16B (currently on nomination basis)
Two under-construction sites at Vikaspuri and Rohini
Officials say the auction will significantly enhance Delhi’s ability to host community and festive gatherings, providing regulated, accessible spaces for citizens.
Interested bidders can find detailed information and participate in the auction through the official DDA website.
