Looking to buy a four-wheeler or a motorcycle at a bargain price? The Buxar district administration is organizing a massive public auction of 105 seized vehicles—ranging from premium SUVs to two-wheelers. These vehicles were confiscated for violating the strict Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
The Office of the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Buxar (Excise Department), has issued an official notification for the short-term public auction of these confiscated vehicles.

According to the official notice, vehicles that remain unsold on the first day will be put up for auction again on March 7, 2026. If vehicles still remain, secondary and tertiary rounds of auctions will be conducted on March 13 and March 20, 2026, respectively, at their predetermined base prices.
The confiscated inventory boasts a wide variety of vehicles. The list includes highly sought-after SUVs, sedans, hatchbacks, commercial vehicles, and two-wheelers at incredibly low base prices.

Hyundai Creta: Base price ₹2.40 Lakh
Mahindra Scorpio: Base price ₹3.95 Lakh
Mahindra Boleros: Base prices ranging from ₹28,000 to ₹1.70 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki WagonR: Base price ₹1.45 Lakh
Dozens of Motorcycles: Brands include Hero Splendor, TVS Apache, Honda Shine, and Bajaj Pulsar, with base prices starting as low as ₹3,000 to ₹4,000.
Others: The extensive list also features e-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, and a Mahindra tractor.
Interested bidders must follow a specific process to participate in the bidding:
Deposit Earnest Money: Bidders must deposit the earnest money (advance security deposit) against their desired vehicle by February 28, 2026, at the Buxar Excise Superintendent's office.
Payment Mode: Earnest money up to ₹10,000 can be deposited in cash. Any amount exceeding ₹10,000 must be submitted via a Demand Draft (DD) issued by a nationalized bank.
DD Details: The DD should be drawn in favor of the 'Superintendent of Prohibition, Buxar' and payable at the SBI Main Branch, Buxar.
The entire auction process will be conducted transparently under the strict supervision of the district auction committee.

Service Charge: Additional 3% service charge on the hammer price.
No Warranty: Vehicles sold strictly on “as-is-where-is” basis. No post-sale claims will be entertained.
Scrap Vehicles: Must be cut into pieces before handover. Buyers must arrange and pay for cutting, loading, and transportation.
Default Penalty: Failure to pay after winning will result in blacklisting, forfeiture of EMD, and legal action.
Registration: Buyers must handle all paperwork, registration, and taxes with the District Transport Office. The auction committee provides only a sale confirmation letter.
Authority: The auction committee reserves the right to cancel any or all sales. Proceedings may also be subject to High Court orders.
