Jagdalpur: In a major development, the Bastar Police has announced a public vehicle auction 2026 for vehicles seized in narcotics cases across various police stations in the district. The auction will be conducted under the orders of the District Magistrate and chaired by the Superintendent of Police (SP), Bastar.

The vehicle auction is scheduled to take place on April 30, 2026 (Thursday) at the Police Line, Jagdalpur, starting from 11:00 AM.

As per the official notification, a wide range of seized vehicles, including motorcycles, scooters, cars, SUVs, auto-rickshaws, and a 12-wheeler truck, will be auctioned. Notable vehicles include Honda City cars, XUV 500, Suzuki car, Renault Triber, Tata Nano, and multiple two-wheelers like Hero Splendor, Bajaj Pulsar, Honda Activa, among others.

  • Only bidders who deposit the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) can participate
  • The highest bidder will win the auction
  • The winning bidder must pay 20% of bid amount within 3 days
  • Remaining amount plus 18% GST must be paid within 45 days
  • Vehicle must be collected within 45 days at buyer’s expense

Important Terms and Conditions

  • RTO documentation will be handled by the buyer
  • Police will provide only an auction certificate
  • EMD will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders
  • Any dispute will be resolved by SP Bastar, whose decision will be final
