Almora Enemy Property E-Auction 2026

The Government of India has initiated preparations for the e-auction of enemy properties in Almora , with a high-value land parcel located in Khatyari Nagar Palika area set to go under the hammer on July 3, 2026 . To ensure maximum participation in the auction process, Almora District Magistrate Anshul Singh has directed officials to undertake extensive publicity campaigns and organise awareness camps across the district.

According to official communications issued by the Office of the Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI) under the Ministry of Home Affairs , the property will be sold through online electronic bidding on the MSTC e-commerce portal . The auction will begin at 11:00 am on July 3 and continue until 4:00 pm on the same day .

Prime Almora Land Valued at ₹9.63 Crore

The key property listed in the current auction cycle is located in Khatyari, Sadar Tehsil, Almora , and covers approximately 0.251 hectares of land . The parcel comprises Khasra Numbers 19076, 19077, 19078, 19079 and 19080 .

The government has fixed a base price of ₹9.63 crore , making it one of the most valuable enemy properties being auctioned in Uttarakhand under the latest e-auction programme.

Officials said the property is being offered on an “As Is Where Is”, “As Is What Is” and “Whatever There Is” basis , requiring interested bidders to assess the land and related conditions before participating in the auction.

DM Orders Wide Publicity Ahead of Auction

District Magistrate Anshul Singh has instructed the Joint Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, municipal authorities and local bodies to ensure that information regarding the auction reaches a wider audience.

Authorities have been directed to conduct awareness drives and establish information camps to help prospective bidders understand the registration process, bidding procedures and eligibility requirements.

The administration has also been asked to coordinate with officials from the Custodian of Enemy Property Office, Lucknow , which has appointed Prashant Saini as the authorised supervisor for publicity and coordination activities in Almora district.

Focus on Investors and Real Estate Developers

As part of the outreach programme, officials have been instructed to identify and engage with real estate developers, property investors, builders and real estate consultants who may be interested in participating in the auction.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has also recommended publicity through newspapers, digital media platforms, local cable networks, social media channels and property portals to attract a larger pool of bidders.

The central government periodically disposes of such properties through transparent auction mechanisms to unlock their economic value and generate revenue.
