Meerut: The Housing Development Department is set to conduct a major e-auction of vacant residential and commercial properties on August 22, offering assets with a combined value of around ₹289 crore.
According to Deputy Housing Commissioner Anil Kumar Singh and Property Manager Sunil Kumar Sharma, the auction will include:

9 plots/houses in Shastri Nagar Scheme No. 3
Jagriti Vihar Extension Scheme No. 11
Commercial Properties:
28 properties spread across Madhavpuram, Jagriti Vihar, Transport Nagar, Shastri Nagar, and Jagriti Vihar Extension.
Registration Deadline: Interested buyers must register and submit the token amount by August 21.
Mode of Auction: Online bidding through the designated e-auction platform of the Housing Development Department.
Eligibility: Open to individuals, businesses, and investors meeting the prescribed terms and conditions.
This is one of the biggest housing board auctions in recent months in Western Uttar Pradesh. Properties in locations like Shastri Nagar and Jagriti Vihar are known for good connectivity, established infrastructure, and strong rental potential — making this an attractive opportunity for both end-users and investors.
